Yeah, I know Christmas was a month ago, so Merry Belated Christmas.
I'm quite proud of this one, Chun Li from the Street Fighter series all dolled up as Ms. Claus.
I took a pre-existing picture (official Capcom art, if I'm not mistaken) and
used MSPaint to make her Santa hat and dress. A little time consuming,
but well worth the effort if'n I do say so myself.

Yangyang "Sally" Zhang, the crying ghost girl from my short story A Ghostly Love Tale currently in production on this very website. This short story is actually a really really really shortened version of a novel I have planned called "Casa de la Phantasma". I'll probably start it after I finish the Quest Saga main books.
This picture actually is a public domain clipart pic called "asian girl" or something like that (I have a terrible time drawing faces). I found the original picture while looking for clipart for work, which I then customized in MSPaint and MSPicture Manager.
I really think this one came out great, if I do say so myself.

The Chief Archer's Daughter, from the Cirque du Soleil production of KA and played to absolute perfection by the amazingly talented and exceptionally skilled Noriko Takahashi. I just arrived back from a short vacation to Las Vegas and while there I was fortunate enough to see the KA production. I've already written a review about it, but I just want to add that while every single actor put on just an amazing show, Ms. Takahashi really shined out with her terrific grace, glorious dancing, and of course her radiant beauty. Said it before, I'll say it again, if you find yourself in Las Vegas, go see KA!

Lady Lilith, a painting by Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828 - 1882).
I really like Rossetti's work, and he himself is quite an interesting, if not tragic, fellow. A painter and poet, he comes from a family of talented artists. He married Elizabeth Siddal, who was a model for many artists of the time, and she was the inspiration for a lot of his work. Learn more about Rossetti here.
Incidentally, Lilith is thought to be the first wife of Adam, created by God as man's equal. She refused to lay down under Adam (basically be subservient) and so she was cast out of Eden and has henceforth been regarded as a demon. The feminist movement has used her story as the basis of their movement, and even the Lilith Fair is so called in her honor. I happen to like strong women, so I tend to view Lilith more as a fighter than a demon.

Chun Li, from the 1st SNES release of Street Fighter 2. This is from the cinescene after you beat the game using Chun Li as your fighter choice. After kicking the bajeezus out of M. Bison, she prays at her father's grave. Now that she's avenged her father's death and brought down Bison's Thailand drug empire (I guess it was drugs, what other illegal operations does one conduct out of Thailand...oh...yeah...) she can go back to being a young, single girl once again.

This picture, appropriately entitled "Pirate Hooker", was found while googling pictures for my Dragon Warrior review (don't ask how in the world pirate hooker got mixed into a bunch of pictures of a nintendo game from 1989). There's a signature on it, I think it says Heady or Heely, but other than that I don't know its origins (it was on someone's MySpace). If this looks at all familiar to anyone, please let me know.

I dunno, there's something about a redhead with a cigar, a big knife, tats (as in tattoos, not ti..er, {but those, too}), and an eyepatch.

Flora is from Winx Club, a kids (girl's) Saturday morning cartoon show on Fox. I found this pic on the web searching for something completely unrelated. I've always liked Winx, particularly Flora (she's such a sweetie) and this website actually started as Winx Club fan page of sorts. I know, I know, it's a show meant for preteen girls, but as you all know I have a thing for faeries. I don't watch the show anymore, so I have no idea if this is an outfit from the actual toon or some fan thing.

Sun Shangxiang from the Dynasty Warriors video game saga based on one of my absolute favorite stories and biggest inspirations Romance of the Three Kingdoms. She is the daughter Wu leader Sun Jin, described as a tomboy well skilled in martial arts and warfare strategy (kinda sound sliek Hua Li) whose ladies-in-waiting always wore swords. I never really played her much, I perferred to Qiao sisters and Diao Chan (I used to like Zhen Ji, but she's really kind of  astuck-up bitch). However, when I started playing DW4 recently, Shangxiang became a top pick. She's powerful, got some awesome moves, and she's super cute.

The cover of Dreamsong, the third book in the manga series Blade of the Immortal by Hiroaki Samua, a very awesome graphic novel if you're into that sort of stuff; highly highly recommended! This picture features Makie Otonotachibana, swordswoman of the Itto-ryu. I love her bladed 3-sectional staff so much that I made myself a crude version, with wooden practice blades instead of metal ones; as the Punisher once said "I'm crazy, not stupid". I really would like to find a poster sized copy of this picture.

A picture of Alice from American MaGee's video game Alice (of Alice in Wonderland fame). I have no idea who did this lovely pencil sketch, I found on the internet one day looking for something totally unrelated. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books, and American MaGee's Alice is an awesome game. Very dark, creepy, and insane. Very me, heh-heh. Anywho, I love this picture, it's beautifully done, ever got her crazy eyes done pat. And of course chicks with knives are hot.
